The project
About us
ClimbingComp gathers the climbing competitions, contests, open days and achievements in France on one map.
It all started with an observation
A competition announced on a federation calendar, a contest shared in a story by a gym, open days passed on by word of mouth: climbing events are plentiful, but scattered. To know what is happening near you, you have to look for the information in ten different places.
That is where Sylvain's idea came from: gather all these dates in one place, and make them readable at a glance. Maxime took care of turning it into a website.
The team
Sylvain
Behind the project
He imagined ClimbingComp: one place to know where and when to climb, without having to look everywhere.
Maxime
Design and development
He gave the idea its shape: the map, the calendar, the submission form and everything that keeps the site running.
How it works
Explore
The map to see what is happening near you, the calendar to follow the dates, past events to keep track.
Submit
A gym or an organiser can present their event in a few minutes, without creating an account.
We check
Every submission is reviewed before it appears on the map, so the information stays reliable.
Are you running an event?
Let the climbers near you know about it.
